Native Medicine Workshop
Learn to make your own native plant medicine in my educational workshop which blends traditional Màori plant knowledge and science. You will learn how to identify native plants and make your own treasures, including a kawakawa balm and manuka liquid tincture to take home.

At your very own workstation, you will be shown how to identify New Zealand"s most popular native herbs - Manuka, Kawakawa and Kanuka. You'll discover the special properties of these plants and in what ways they can be used. You will also learn how to make these into healing balms and liquid tinctures for year-round use for your health and well-being.
You will leave this workshop with an understanding of the special benefits herbal medicine offers and why it has been used for generations.

Departs: 9am-12pm & 2pm-5pm
We will meet at the entrance to the Okere Falls Scenic Reserve.
Availability: 8 seats per class.

What to bring.
Appropriate clothing for the weather conditions, we recommend a warm jacket as it can be cooler in the forest than expected. Good walking shoes are also recommended as we will be walking on a gravel pathway through NZ native forest which can be uneven in places.
